With the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here line-up confirmed and campmates already arriving in Australia here at Barratts we always wonder what twist contestants will add to their outfits. In the past we’ve had the David Haye bandana, the famous Mylene Klass white bikini and last year we even had people wearing Hi Tec hiking boots similar to what we sold. This year one certain campmate will be sure to keep us on our toes. Here’s all you need to know about the contestants and what makes them famous (some more than others).
Rebecca Adlington – The retired swimmer won 2 gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics as well as 2 bronze medals at our home Olympics in 2012. She should take to the jungle pond like a duck to water but I’m not sure she’s used to front crawling next to a crocodile.
David Emanuel – the fashion designer from Bridgend is most famed for having designed Princess Diana’s wedding dress, his phobia list is lets say extensive, which should make him a shoe in for being voted to do plenty of trials!
Steve Davis – The 6 time world championship winning snooker player was snookers first millionaire. At the sprightly age of 56 he still holds a world ranking of 51 giving hope to us all. I don’t think he’ll have any problems adapting to camp life.
Laila Morse – While starring as Mo Harris in Eastenders, Laila developed a fiery reputation as “Big Mo”. I’m not sure who should be more afraid, her jungle campmates or the resident creepy crawlies.
Joey Essex – Yes Essex is his real surname, star of TOWIE Joey is renowned for his own unique take on fashion and for well not been the brightest person in the world. Sparks could fly between him and follow campmate Amy Willerton.
Alfonso Riberio (Carlton Banks) – Now, this is a story all about how, My life got flipped-turned upside down, And I’d like to take a minute, Just sit right there, I’ll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air. I think that explains it.
Matthew Wright – Outspoken and Opinionated Matthew has hosted his own topical discussion show The Wright Stuff since 2000. He will definitely cause some controversy on the show, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him and Laila clash.
Lucy Pargeter – she’s been playing Chas Dingle in Emmerdale since 2002 and also is quite a good singer, she’ll be the first 1 up on the karaoke machine if the jungle bar makes another appearance this season.
Amy Willerton – she represented Great Britain in the 2013 Miss Universe competition and went on to finish in the top 10. Standing an impressive 5 ft 10 in she may be a bit too tall for Joey but you never know!
I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here launches on ITV1 at 9pm on Sunday the 17th November.
