Brand Focus: Hush Puppies

It’s very rare that a shoe brand can lay claim to having saved the life of a world famous rock star. That, however, is something which Hush Puppies can do.

In 1965, at a gig in Sacramento, the Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards accidentally touched his guitar against an ungrounded microphone which caused an electrical flow to knock the musician unconscious. Doctors said that the accident would have been fatal were it not for the crepe-soled Hush Puppies he was sporting; the shoes insulated him and saved his life, letting him live to rock another day.
